ANAAM: pr. "uh-Nahm", def. "Lawless" (Greek), "Other" (Latin), "Soul" (Irish Gaelic).

Under the moniker ANAAM, Ms. Dineen examines human vulnerability through her voice and compositions.  Her lush electro-acoustic and vocal-centric compositions feature raw, vulnerable, and improvised performances. Ms. Dineen's Original Music unfolds in three different forms:

  • Looping Artist: Creating live, improvised, solo-vocal, loop-station arrangements

  • Songwriter/Producer, Writing original lyrics, musical arrangements, with intentional electronic production

  • Contemporary Composer: Creating longer form electro-acoustic compositions that bridge many genres (contemporary classical "new music", jazz, art-pop, minimalism)

Past Performances include: a live loop-station debut performance at The St. Louis Fringe Festival (2022) and premiers of electro-acoustic compositions "Heart 2 Heart" at Symphony Space for The Tap City Music Festival (2019) and "Rooted" at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, in collaboration with esteemed American Tap Dancer Samara Seligsohn (2020).

Ms. Dineen's original music is uniquely suited for cross-collaborations and interdisciplinary performances which intend to engage the audience with much more than musical form alone.
